Brief:
Using a limited palette of one or two colours ( black counts as a colour, white does not ) and one or two typeface families, design a small phone app for an anthology of lyrics by a musician of your choice. Your app should display the following content: name of musician and title; search options for lyrics; song lists; albums; and one or two individual songs with full lyrics.
For this project, I chose to focus on the Newcastle-born artist Sam Fender. Inspired by existing artwork from his albums and colour schemes used in music videos, the app provided lyrics for his full catalogue of music, provided search functions for the user to find their favourite songs and also provided playlists based on moods for the user to listen to.
A login page and profile for the user was also developed to allow for the saving of preferences. The user icon subtly wearing a striped shirt portraying Sam's love of Newcastle United FC.
